Hi, I’m Jinil.
I’m a Korean local living in Suwon. I created KoreaJinil to share the side of Korea that can be difficult to discover through ordinary travel guides.
From the food people actually eat and the places locals spend their time, to everyday routines, neighborhoods, culture and small experiences that visitors may otherwise miss, I want to show Korea in a practical and detailed way from a local perspective.
Starting in Suwon
Suwon is where I live, so it is the natural starting point for KoreaJinil. It is a city where historic places like Hwaseong Fortress exist alongside busy neighborhoods, cafés, restaurants and everyday Korean life.
KoreaJinil will explore Suwon in detail — from local food and places worth visiting to everyday experiences and useful things that foreign visitors may be curious about.
From Suwon to Korea
KoreaJinil begins in Suwon, but it does not stop there. As the site grows, I will share stories, places, food, culture and everyday experiences from other parts of Korea as well.
The goal is simple: to help people discover Korea not only as tourists, but through the details of how Korea is actually experienced by the people who live here.
